Tragic Loss to Everyone at the Jolly Sailor

It is with deep regret that we announce the tragic loss of one of our regulars.

Dean Bozier (43years old) unfortunately passed away on Thursday the 16th July 2009.  Dean has been suffering for some time now since being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Our thoughts are with his wife Cheryl, 2 children and all the family at this very sad time.

Message from Paul

Dean and his brother Lee were two of the first people to welcome me into the Jolly Sailor in January 2006.

Since then, Dean has become a great friend and I find his death most distressing.  I have got to know all his great family and they have all been actively involved in anything we have done in the pub.  When Dean was chairman of Phoenix Football Club he brought the club to the Jolly Sailor, he did a fantastic job as chairman and we had many a great fund raising night organised and always attended by Dean.

Dean had a great sense of humour and was blessed with great timing in delivering jokes.  My memories of Dean always make me smile and I realise he brought a lot into my life and left me with some fantastic memories.

He will be sorely missed in the pub by everyone.

Anyone who reads this, the next time you have a drink raise your glass to Dean Bozier, a great person.  God love you mate.

Paul Egerton
