Chief goes to comedy ski festival

Paul and his sister pearl went to the 1st ever Altitude comedy festival http://www.altitudefestival.com/ .  Skiing through the day and great comedy at night.  Pearl Skied more kilometres than anyone else on Nielson Ski Holidays and was 4th for all season, so she was awarded Queen of the hill.

A Jolly Good Ski Trip to Saalback, Austria

The 2012 Jolly Ski Trip saw the gang take to Saalback, Austria for 2012.

With a chalet on the slopes and Spitz Apres bar nextdoor the week was keyed up to be a good one.

The extended group of skiers made sure that everyone could ski with someone of their own ability so during the day it was skiing all the way and then back to Saalback for the nightlife.

It appeared eventually that all roads led to Spitz's bar nextdoor with lots of crazy dancing and drinking being the norm along with some very adult entertainment by a "local Gordie" singer who certainly knew how to keep the crowds warm and entertained, making up his own songs as he went along.

A Right Jolly Birthday Party & 2012 T-Shirts

Saturday14th January saw the 6th Anniversary of Paul taking over The Jolly Sailor and once again a big party was on the cards.

As usual at this time of year we also get to celebrate Paul & Steve's Birthdays and this year we had the addition of Michelle (our Friday Night Barmaids) birthday, so there was plenty to celebrate.

Only The Jolly knows how to party this hard and its rumored that the dancing and fun went on well in to the early hours, with some hearing those early morning bird songs. (no pun intended...)

The new 2012 Jolly T-shirts have officially been launched, so if you weren't there for the party pop in and see Paul and if your lucky there may be some spares. For those of you with Jolly T-Shirts that are going away this year make sure you take your 2012 Jolly T-Shirt and send us photo’s of your T-Shirts travels.

A Jolly New Year in fancy dress

Once again, this years theme was simply Fancy Dress and we left it to the imagination of our guests to dress up accordingly.

A great night was had by all with much merriment and dancing in to the wee hours.

Tis the season to be Jolly

Each year The Jolly gets a visit from a group of friends who always dress up on Xmas Eve and pop in on there way to town ready to enjoy the festivities. This year was no exception and we were treated to a large number of Xmas Trees spreading their joy amongst the usual crowd.

Along with the Xmas Tree's we also found one of Santa's Helpers, but for some the festivities were all too much and a little rest before the big day was needed.
