Pool Team

Our mixed pool team plays in the St Albans winter league with matches being played every Tuesday evening.

Matches are made up of 9 games – 6 singles and 3 doubles, so the minimum number of players we need for each match is 6, the maximum 12.

The St.Albans & District Pool League plays all games to World Rules.


2006 / 7 Season Review

After losing the first game, the team went on a steady run of wins, which resulted in high expectations for the season. However, inconsistencies in the team turn out hampered the captain Jeremy in his selections. Some great results however were still achieved (most notably beating The Crown, home and away) as well as some embarrassing defeats.
With a reasonable run in the 'Shield', the team played well in the both the singles and doubles game, gaining valuable experience, although not picking up any silverware.
Overall, it was a good first year for the new team. Jeremy did an excellent job a captain and has now handed the role to Terry.
We are actively looking for new players, who can contribute regularly to the team on Tuesday nights, starting in September. If you're interested in playing, pop into the pub and talk to Paul or drop us an email.
